- It is a National Model Festival - The largest one-day, all day festival in the state of South Dakota - 1,300 4th graders and 200 parents and teachers attending from 34 area schools - 40 Presenters from South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, and North Dakota - Over 30 displays and activities in the Exhibit Hall - 250 Volunteers - 40 National, State, and Local Sponsors |

Since 1992, South Dakota Water Festivals have delivered a strong water conservation message to an increasing number of fourth graders. Our goal is to provide a multi-topic, interdisciplinary, one-day water "science fair" where kids apply water education knowledge learned in the classroom to "real life" problem solving situations. |
